PLAAF (People's Liberation Army Air Force) has nearly 2,000+ aircrafts (Most of PLAAF aircrafts are also Russian Made), but PLAAF has very low crash accident rate.

Reasons for these crash were:

- Human Errors (Shoddy Maintenance)
- Outdated Spares
- Obsolete air-frames
- System Malfunctions
- Pilots Incompetency

Indian Air Force also lost MiG-21 Bison and SU-30MKI in dogfight with Pakistan Air Force's JF-17 Thunder aircraft on 27th February 2019 Military Standoff, same day (on February 27) Indian Air Defence fired a Israeli missile at its own Mi17 V5 helicopter in Budgam, that resulted in the deaths of six air force officers.

How Pakistan Navy caught Indian Navy Submarine in a Surprise at Night?

by , in
Pakistan has once again proven its military prowess in the backdrop of repeated acts of aggression by India as it thwarted an attempt by Indian Navy submarine to enter its water.

Although Indian Navy is claiming that its INS Kalvari (S21) submarine wanted to be visible so it showed up, the details portray an altogether different story ratifying Pakistan’s naval superiority over its eastern neighbor.

In actual, INS Kalvari (S21) is a diesel-electric submarine and generally, a submarine is powered by batteries but the batteries, in turn, are needed to be regularly charged like a smart phone.

Indian Navy are claiming that their submarine, now identified as INS Kalvari (S21) French made sub, wanted to be seen and that is why it came up?

The battery charger in case of a submarine is the diesel engine but the engine cannot work underwater because there is no oxygen there which is needed to burn the fuel, the absence of oxygen compels a submarine to surface and charge the batteries at periscope depth.

In order to avoid visibility by rivals, submarines come to the surface during the night and Indian Navy submarine also opted the same technique as it stayed underwater all day and tried to stay close to Pakistan’s coast.

For submarines, sonar technique is used to detect sea vessels and coupled with acoustic signature (specific and unique noise by any ship, precise like a thumbprint) specific ships can be identified.

Indian Navy submarine was gathering information about Pakistan Navy’s sea deployments and was trying to stay close to the coast underwater during the day, and then running away at night to surface and recharge its batteries.

The recharging compelled the submarine to the surface but vigilant Pakistan Navy was on watch out for the Indian watercraft and at night when it came up, Pakistan Naval Air Arm took pictures of it, surprising Indians.

Indian Navy Submarine was detected operating South of Pakistani Coast

Pakistan Navy’s vigilance led to a massive psychological victory for the country as the operation came a week after Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian aircraft confirming that Pakistan outshines Indian when it comes to aerial or naval superiority.

The latest combat should not be underrated considering that the battle for the sea is the battle for lines of supply and Pakistan sits as a gatekeeper on the Strait of Hormuz and Indian supply lines go through this patch.

It is easier for Pakistan to cut off Indian supplies than the other way around and that supply line is the lifeline of our country.

If operation Zarb e Azb wasn't carried out, Pakistan could have faced terrorism related death toll 12 times higher than Nagasaki and Hiroshima combined

by , in
If Operation Zarb e Azb wasn't carried out, Pakistan could have faced terrorism related death toll 12 times higher than Nagasaki and Hiroshima nuclear bombing combined.

Here are the calculations:

During the operation zarb e azb, 7,591 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 35,310 Mortar Bombs and Rockets, 2,481 Land Mines and Suicide Jackets were recovered.

The troops seized about 253 Tons (253,000 Kilogram) of Explosive which according to some calculations was enough for the terrorists to make ammunition and IEDs for 15 years.

Soldiers stand by seized weapons at an empty bazaar during a military operation against Taliban militants in the main town of Miramshah in North Waziristan on July 9, 2014.

If all these weapons and explosives could be used by terrorists the total loss of life could be higher than the loss of life caused by Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs combined.

An Improvised Explosive Device or IED is usually a roadside bomb used to blow up vehicles full of people.

This photograph taken on July 9, 2014 shows soldiers patrol during a military operation against Taliban militants, in the main town of Miramshah in North Waziristan.
Assuming that one such vehicle carried 20 people and 7,591 IEDs were recovered, the total loss of life by IED could have been

7,591 X 20 = 151,820 people.

A Mortar or low intensity artillery shell and rocket can kill 2-5 people depending on where the rocket or shell falls.

35,310 such contraptions were recovered.

If terrorists could use them, then,
35,310X5 = 176,550 people could be killed.

Media personnel take footage of seized weapons at an empty bazaar during a military operation against Taliban militants in the main town of Miramshah in North Waziristan on July 9, 2014.
A suicide jacket filled with ball bearings or a bomb planted in a busy market could kill 10 or more people each. 2,481 such contraptions were recovered.

So by using these, the terrorists could kill 2,481 X 10 = 24,810 people.

On top of all that another 253,000 kilos of explosives were recovered. These explosives were locally made in Miran shah, Waziristan, to be used in terrorism equipments such as IED, Bombs and suicide vests.

A ball bearing filled bomb or suicide jacket exploded in busy market or an enclosed space such as a mosque, church, temple etc  then 2kg explosive can kill 10-15 or more people.

If terrorists could use 253,000 kg of explosives they cooked to make 2kg devices, then
253,000÷2 x 15 = 1,897,500 people could be killed.

6,752 Rifles with 0.99 million ammunition, 2,470 sub-machine guns (SMGs) including Sniper Rifles with 0.67 million ammunition, 293 machine guns and light machine guns (LMGs) with 0.24 million ammunition and 111 guns (12.7 mm and 14.5 mm) with 0.25 million ammunition were recovered from different areas.

That's 2.15 million bullets. Let's assume the terrorists kill one person per 4 bullets, compensating for non lethal bullet wounds and missed targets.

That's 2.15 million ÷ 4 = 537,500 people killed if the terrorists could use those bullets.

The grand total is. 2,788, 180 or more Pakistanis.

That's 2.78 million Pakistanis could have been killed by these bombs, explosives and bullets.

The combined total of Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs was 226,000 people killed.
Pakistan could have had more than 12 times higher casualties than that.

And these are calculations of operation zarb e azb only. Large quantities of explosive were recovered in other military operations and in the thousands of intelligence based operations (IBOs) still being carried out.

Then there are Pakistanis who question the need and legitimacy of Pakistan Army operations.

Kashmir Solidarity Day

by , in
February 5 marks the observation of the Kashmir Solidarity Day also called “Youm-e- Yakjehti” in Pakistan. It is observed every year since 1990 as an expression of solidarity and support to Kashmir’s struggle for self-determination and liberation.

On the date, there is a public holiday. Prayers, conferences, marches, rallies, and programs are conducted all across the country to pay homage to Kashmir freedom fighters, support the ongoing struggle, and echo a censure against Indian oppression.

A popular spectacle is the forming of a human chain (people making a row with their hands clasped) on all leading routes to Azad Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan to symbolize unity and fraternity with brothers and sisters of Kashmir.

Not only in Pakistan, but globally, Muslims carry out fervent rallies and speeches to observe the day. Television shows broadcast happenings live from all corners of the world. A few non-Muslims and non-Pakistani groups also occasionally stand up to support the cause for humanity.

Kashmir Day, 2018

This year, preparations to observe the national cause of the freedom of Kashmir are in full swing. Programs, conferences, and contests are scheduled to engage masses in the cause. It is decided to observe a minute of silence Pakistan-wide at 10 A.M. on Monday, February 5, 2018, to echo harmony with the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris.

Backdrop

Indian-held Kashmir also called Jammu and Kashmir is the territory that India rules over against the Security Council’s Resolution on Kashmir. The resolution obliges India to hold a free and fair plebiscite on the question whether the citizens of Kashmir want to accede to Pakistan or India. India never holds a plebiscite and continues to commit atrocities on Muslim citizens of the valley.

In 2015, India grew more brutal killing Kashmiris in bulk. It’s soldiers used non-lethal weapons (Pellet guns) on peaceful demonstrators that caused extensive arbitrary deaths and grievous wounds.

On April 9 in 2017, an Indian army major, Nitin Gogoi, tied a Muslim 26-year old boy to a jeep and paraded him publicly in 26 villages. According to the boy, he was returning after casting a vote when he bumped into those soldiers who accused and punished him of stone pelting.

Tensions between both the countries have heightened since. There is a frequency of ceasefire violations and LOC skirmishes.

Faisal said effective border management remained one of Pakistan's prime objectives in preventing cross-border terrorism.
"Pakistan has 975 border posts to man Pak-Afghan border; Afghanistan has 218," he said.
He said Pakistan was keen to assist the Afghan government while highlighting that on the southern side of the border, "a stretch of 648 km has no check post on the Afghan side".
"Large swathes of ungoverned spaces in Afghanistan are leaving a vacuum for safe havens and terrorist sanctuaries to flourish and launch attacks on Pakistan. Incidence of cross border terrorist attacks from Afghanistan has increased since 2016, and peaked to 417 in 2017," he said.

"The fatwa outlaws the use of force by individuals or groups to take up arms against state for imposition of Sharia.
The Fatwa also prohibits Pakistani citizens from violating territorial boundaries in the name of helping other armed groups and struggles outside Pakistan, offering intellectual and practical training and recruitment of terrorists," he said.

Pakistan from the Other Side

by , in
It is so convenient to just look around, obtain some information floating on broadcasting channels, interpret it a bit in your head, and then make your mind. Pakistan is a phenomenon, a story, that almost everyone in the world has interpreted in head. And I tell you, most of it is scarce in truth.

Brandon Stanton, the founder of Humans of New York wrote this final word after he concluded his visit to Pakistan:

I find a relentless truth and completeness in this passage, but I must add to convince my readers.

Pakistan is a land of opportunities and fortune hosted by the one of the most receptive and hospitable population in the world. Being rich in landscape and agriculture is not the only potential that it has, rather it has the world’s smartest minds (Arfa Kareem and Babar Iqbal) to become the youngest Microsoft Certified Professionals of the world. Pakistan has hope that lives amidst violence but never loses to its enemy. Pakistan ahs the spirit to continue to struggle despite a shaky infrastructure, worrisome deficits, and anarchist state-of-affairs.

Here are some other things that would show you a Pakistan from the other side:

Pakistan is the leading manufacturer of handsewn footballs in the world. The cottage industry of Sialkot produces and supplies 40-60 million footballs in a year. This makes an estimated 70% of world’s football production.

Pakistan is the first Islamic country to develop Nuclear power. But the glory doesn’t end here. It is also successfully fighting a defensive war on its own territory to protect its nuclear installations.

Pakistan has the highest paved road in the world. It is the 1300 km long Karakoram Highway from Punjab to Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan and then it crosses China to become China National Highway 314.

Pakistan is one of the countries with the fastest growing literacy rate of 58% in the world. Not only Pakistan is educating male students but a change to educate girls is materializing from the grass root level.

Today we have a striking number of women who have proved themselves in their respective fields. Samina Khayal Baig is the first Pakistani woman to climb Mount Everest. We have Tahira Qazi, who embraced martyrdom in an endeavor to protect her students from militants. We also have Rafia Baig — the first lady in our national Bomb Disposal Squad.

We have a democratic government that is accountable before the masses. Despite so much repulsion from invisible hands, we have managed a successful democratic transition of government twice. We also have a powerful judicial and bureaucratic institutions to oversee state affairs.

Moreover, Pakistan ranks eleventh among the world’s strongest militaries. It has a standing army of 6,17,000 frontline personnel armed with 2,924 tanks, 914 aircrafts and 8 submarines. Pakistan is also the biggest contributor in UN peacekeeping missions.

To talk about the airforce, Pakistan bags the credit of producing some of the most skilled and well-trained air force pilots in the world.

People say we are a poor country, but we consider ourselves one of the richest countries of the world in awards and accolades. We have won two Nobel Prize, 2 Oscars, and 3 UN Human Rights Prize.

There is a lot more. We have the seventh largest cluster of Scientists, we have incredible doctors, we are improving awe-strikingly in technology. Pakistan has around half a billion active internet users contributing in the advancement of the country.

Our media is free and strong. A large number of our students are becoming journalists and social workers to help promote a safer and better coexistence. Every year, we are becoming better with more and more NGOs celebrating the completion of their driving objective.

In the face of all such positive distinctions, are you justified in thinking of Pakistan as a violent, poor, and backward nation?
